A Perfect Weekend

This weekend was perfect.

We had sunshine, blue skies, lounging outside on blankets, sand between our toes, grass beneath our feet, blowing bubbles, a picnic, and best of all being outdoors.

On Saturday we spent some time together outside in our garden for the first time this year...

We revisited the beautiful Assarancagh Waterfall (check out our first visit here), which looked much tamer yesterday than last time...

Then onto the fabulous Maghera Beach...

It felt like a million miles from home...

We managed to get into one of the caves before the tide came in...

It's amazing how much cooler it was in here...

Our Little Fella wasn't too sure about being sat down inside the cave...

Splashing in the sea is much better fun...

By the end of the day we were all full of sea air, had a few more freckles and were well tired.

What a great way to spend the weekend, hope yours was as full of good times xxx

  

Our Day at the Beach

There's nothing I enjoy more than lovely long walks along the beach and at the weekend that's where we headed for the afternoon.

The Donegal coastline stretches roughly about 770 miles so we are lucky to have some really beautiful beaches. The sun was shining and it felt great to get out, dust off the cobwebs and fill our lungs with fresh sea air.

That being said it was stormy but what can we expect from the Atlantic.

We had a lovely walk and then finished up with a delicious spot of lunch at The Gaslight Restaurant which was a great little find offering stunning views of the beach and it was a bit warmer indoors.

Saturdays are one of my favourite days of the week.

This photo was taken in our garden last weekend and it really makes me smile. 

The Little Fella is totally tickled by the cat rolling about on the stones and it sums up his mischievous little character perfectly.

This week my photo of the week is ''A Walk in the Woods''.

We have been blessed with great weather here this past week and yesterday we took a walk up the woods.

It was great for my Inbetweener and his cousin to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.

Everything always looks so much better when the sun shines.

 I love this picture of them because they look like boys on a mission!!
